Come now Dan, don’t hide you light under a bushel, not recognising the march towards fascism is pretty ignorant.

So why don't you say more and help me out?
I am not here to educate the hopeless. Plus if you have got this far in life you are beyond help. Muting now Dan.
No, I'm still willing to learn, happy to listen to anyone reasonable. I find this puts me in a tiny minority. I've given you every opportunity but you chose to throw out insults and mute instead.
I would say education comes before winning over. And should make winning over easier, for some aspects at least. Educated well-informed people disagree, of course, but can change opinion in light of new info. A poorly informed electorate underlies many of our problems, I think.
It's a weird deadlock: a right-wing press that uses misinformation and distractions, coupled with a sizeable proportion of the electorate who want to be entertained rather than informed.
But I've always found that people won't listen to someone who isn't a friend.
And yet there are definitely some who accept whatever is pumped in their direction by traditional and social media alike. Sometimes thereby accepting arguments very much contrary to the opinions their friends hold. But if they don't talk politics to their friends... I think we have to try, at least.
Our culture puts people at odds with one another. Some are even openly rude, even when both parties follow the same influence (George in this case). So I'm trying to use social media to have friendly interactions. That way we can all learn and, together, make better campaigning decisions.
He has form for this. I would not worry, its hardly a loss. Just enjoy the peace & quiet that a childlike muting offers to you. And there are plenty of better more civilised people to learn from😊
