Your A.I. avatar of your real face isn’t flattering or cool, you have the vibes of a character on the Silicon Valley tv show and not one of the sympathetic ones

Still the gold standard.
Bitmoji til I die. I have no idea how I managed to make an avatar that looks so very much like myself, but at least I made it.
It’s giving Russ Hanneman
I'm really quite grateful for the "AI profile or banner" label. Makes avoiding sketchy accounts so much easier. Lots of low-quality opinions to filter out right off the go.
what’s the labeler called?
bsky.app/profile/aimo...
thank!
Even if you want an illustrated version of yourself, just search the phrase "commissions open," find an artist you like, and give them some money! They will probably drink less water in the process than the shitty robot.
Oh, is this the new marker of someone whose opinion I can ignore? Following on the heels of 'Roman Statue' and 'Anime Boy with Laser Eyes'.
Ironically, you’d come off as more human if you just used a picture of your dog and not Sam Altman’s Tik tok filter version of yourself you weird perv
Picrew >>> AI
You can literally use a non-AI filter to make most of those, so it's even dumber to waste the resources to make it with AI.
You are basically the owner of Aviato
It's the new "lineart drawing of self looking off to the side like a shitty stonetoss drawing that's 'just asking questions'" avatar, except now they dont have to pay that artist to draw it for them
I use it because I don’t want to give AI/surveillance companies my actual photo to scrape into God knows what database. It has zero to do with trying to be cool.
Oh honey.
How did you get the AI pfp made?
😂
Wow. Just...wow...
it has 100% to do with trying to be cool (and a certain degree of facetune, I would imagine) or you would just do what everyone else in the world with privacy concerns does with their social media and use a picture of their dog or a flower or their emotional support guy from Star Trek
Or clips of royalty-free art Or one's own art Or someone else's art, with attribution Or... People's excuses for this are indeed transparent
Whatever. I guess the point is I DON’T CARE whether you or anyone else thinks it’s cool. 🙄
just very hard to believe people who are happy to destroy the environment so they can have a slightly hotter profile pic on a social media site are this indifferent to public perception, but that’s certainly not my business!
Girl, I made it on a whim ages ago before I was even on Bluesky. I used it without giving it much thought other than not seeming like a bot & not wanting an image that could be matched to me walking on the street. I revoked authorization for this app to access my photos & am too lazy to change it.
It would take less time than writing all these defensive replies
methinks the lady doth protest too much
