That those terrible people can then take this and use it as a justification to demonize someone even MORE vulnerable… I don’t even have a word to describe that.

And it matters why? Democ-rats wasted their majority; RepubliKKKans turned power into autocracy in a year. The bipolar political duopoly is broken. Only deep reform—multiparty democracy, anti-corruption laws, SCOTUS limits, direct voting—can save America.
"Eh." I voted for her in the general election and told everyone I knew to do the same, but I don't really want to look back on Hillary Clinton, of all people, and say that's the best we can be.
I was just replying to your statement, “I don’t even have a word to describe that.” The best we can be will only come to fruition when we remove legalized bribery, reduce campaigning to two months before election using taxpayer money allotted to each candidate, and enforce corruption laws.
Yeah, but we’ll never know. So don’t pass judgment on something that never happened
She was the best we could’ve done in that election. It could’ve saved us from where we are now. Everything from the Supreme Court to Covid response. It’s unfathomable how different life might be now.
Hillary Clinton would have been one of the most qualified presidents we’ve ever had. If that’s the best we can be, I think that’s pretty damn good. I’d vote for her again in a NY minute.
Yeah, but when have we ever been able to vote for the best we can be?
Last one in my lifetime was Jimmy Carter (but, I wasn’t old enough to vote in ‘76 and ‘80).
Jimmy Carter was my first time voting for president. At the time, we were all like, a peanut farmer? Okay, it’s not like we are voting for Ford. So in retrospect, yes, he was the best. But at the time, it was such a chaotic time in the world, we didn’t have that feeling.
Carter’s stature becomes clear only in hindsight and in comparison to those who succeeded him. They could not hold a candle to his ethics and diplomacy. If the religious right so-called Christians truly understood and believed Christ, they would have held Carter in high esteem, but they never did.
Carter was very bright and had the tenacity of a bulldog. His public persona was that of a gentle and thoughtful man. He was a good mix.
✊🏼💯 Exactly what is desirable in a leader. Ignorant people, like MAGAts, view bullying as a leadership quality. They fail to understand that bullying is rooted in underlying weakness. It is merely a facade. Hence, everyday is #TACO Tuesday in the Trump kitchen.
Thought of the Day: Democ-rats wasted their majority; RepubliKKKans turned power into autocracy in a year. The bipolar political duopoly is broken. Only deep reform—multiparty democracy, anti-corruption laws, SCOTUS limits, direct voting—can save America.

No, she wasn't. She was wrong on everything to do with Israel and just about everything else. She and her sex pest husband are deplorables.
I like this thread…damnit I’m out of 🍿
