At the end of the Ottoman Empire Arabs got several states : Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Jordan, etc. Kurds for nothing. A tiny sliver was meant to be shared as it was signifiant to several groups. The Brits tried to manage their mandate but it didn’t work well. There was a lot of tensions.
