What happened before social media? Constant complaining about political parties, back in the day you may complain to a few friends then wait 4 years till the next election. Is social media a good thing?

Before social media, voters who were full of anger and devoid of facts were decentralized and relatively harmless. Now Twitter/X, Meta/Facebook, Truth Social etc. have centralized and empowered them. It's a type of civil war, and it is hell.
