I don't have a problem with the illegal vices of rich people suddenly having teeth. Congressional carpetbaggers are notorious for this when they want to run in a competitive district they don't live in. Just...it only ever seems to happen to those who piss off the GOP by doing their job correctly.

Trump will say out of one side of his mouth that the big crime he did is total BS and done by everyone and means he's a genius... and then prosecute everyone who's not himself for it. Ubiquitous elite impunity is the underlying problem (and the thing being weaponized) here, IMO.
(and in case this seems like a both sides kind of response, I think the response to this is to put Trump and absolutely every elected member of the Republican Party in prison for all the very real crimes they've committed in front of all of us, and then decide which unreal crimes we'd like to axe)
