Respectfully, I would argue that it's not so much a matter of how much or how little they are right wing, but moreso the fact that they (the Dem establishment) are so beholden to their donors from Wall Street, AIPAC, the health insurance and defense industries. In short, they're corrupt AF.
Money in politics is a problem but haven't Democrats pushed for Campaign Finance Reform and expanding Healthcare which would hurt their supposed being beholden to donors?
Elise, I’ll just chime in to say that I think you’re wrong, from what I see from California. Maybe your state has cracked this problem, but Citizens United and low-level corruption (stock market trading while in office) has created a GQP-lite Democratic Party for far too many districts and states.
Well I am not going to argue that money in politics isn't affecting policy or politicians. I am just seeing the long history of the Democratic Party since FDR. Citizens United was a disaster and many Democrats do need a wake up call.
