We had an engineer who lost his job because he was asked to see a counselor for his anger issues and he refused citing he was afraid that it would result in his firearms being taken away. Years later and his career is a shell of what it could have been.
LOL the counselor couldn't even take their guns if they'd wanted to. If they thought he would imminently commit a crime they would have to report it but the police would then do absolutely nothing so there was never any risk
Yeah, his supervisor basically said as much, but Joel was neck-deep in conspiracy shit (Obama was in office) that none of it clicked.
It wasn't entirely conspiracy shit. The Obama administration did actually try to substantially expand the definition of people who would be prohibited from owning firearms due to mental health issue. Even the ACLU ended up arguing against it.
Well it was never serious, never happened, and everything turned out great!
