Alfred Nobel in his will said the peace prize should be handled by Norway, the other prizes by Sweden. As a consequence of the Napolean wars, Norway was in a union with Sweden 1814-1905. The union was peacefully dissolved in 1905.

I'm not gonna go through this again. Please look at the whole of the Nobel Committee and its different awards. The Peace Prize is not 'handled' by Norway. It is awarded by Norway. The rules and nominees go through the Nobel Committee, which is is in Sweden.

There is a separate committee for the Peace Prize, appointed by the Norwegian parliament, meeting in a building in Henrik Ibsens street, just behind the royal castle in Oslo. Sorry, you are just plain wrong.

Sorry, but living in Norway, I can assure you that you are wrong! The peace price is handled and awarded by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. There is a completely separate Swedish Committee that deals with all other Nobel prices. These who are not the same, and do not interfere in each other's work
