Leader Jeffries and his caucus are telling US what to do. They have nothing to do with state level redistricting. It's up to voters to put pressure on their state legislatures.

How can he wield power when voters didn't give him a majority? Also, his post was a condemnation of Texas' gerrymandering threats, over which he has no direct control. He is setting the tone and messaging for democrats nationwide. You calling his leadership weak is exactly how we lose.

I am very much paying attention to what my governor is doing to screw us over here in Florida, and what 47's doing to us nationally. Just because I am not happy with the Democratic Party leadership* doesn't mean I am actively trying to discourage activism and change. (*Senate leadership primarily)

Not every elected Democrat, specifically those who are not responding to the moment with a sense of urgency and awareness of how bad things are and how the old rules no longer apply. I believe Speaker Jeffries is getting there, but to damn slowly. Others believe he is already there.
