I feel so bad for their kids. They lost their parents, had to put their fatally injured dog to sleep, their parents' house was broken into last night, and they still have to have the funeral. We're all pretty overwhelmed here in Minnesota, but not nearly as much as those two.

Very sad. Their kids rushed Gilbert to the emergency vet but could not be saved. So much sadness for one family.

I think a lot of us are very fragile and vulnerable right now. Saw a TikTok yesterday of a woman decompressing at the beach and she saw in the distance someone propose and it made her ugly cry sob.

it is even worse ,as the kids had to make that decision as the dog was not going to survive . they were left without the comfort of gidion .

To see the fact a democratic lawmaker, her husband and dog were killed. Yeah I think I need to find a rage room. Go with a friend.

I always question when the news reports the death of a pet along with the death of its owners, as it seems incongruous or somehow inappropriate, and yet we view them as blameless children, so it hits a nerve.

Totally get it. I was angry as hell that one of my MN politicians was killed, but when the news had to add in that that piece of shit also killed their dog?! I lost my shit and was angry crying.
