This has nothing to do with climate change. This area has had massive flash floods recorded back to the 1600s when missionaries settled there. It's called flash flood alley for a reason. But you wouldn't know that because you're desperate for a gotcha moment to a bunch of strangers online.

You do realize that the first line under historical context debunks your entire argument, right? If the intensity is higher now than in the 1600s (the era I referred to) show me where in the last 40 years any city has experienced flooding that left it underwater for more than 5 years.

That's so awful. I used to attend a camp in that area along the river. There were so many stories of campers killed in floods, but nothing like this. Devastating.
