This is the start, but what they will ultimately do is push slowly until they have final say on who does and does not get to pursue higher education. The goal is to no longer have minorities in higher education settings, preserve them as the servant class

I don't think they ever really were hiding it, we just weren't paying attention because we believed it was just rhetoric in politics. Like, for decades Republicans have been saying the government was "Irresponsible" with it's money. But when they got the chance they cut programs for minorities /1

.. and social safety nets. Exactly what they said they would do if given the opportunity. Which just shows that it wasn't the amount of money they viewed as "irresponsible" but who it was going to.... They seem to view the suffering of others as entertaining, or as a justified punishment for /2

the circumstances of their birth. There is no attempt, not even vapid platitudes to uplift people in situations outside their control. No acknowledgement that some people are born into a position where there are no good choices. But they seem more than happy to take opportunities away from them. /3

opportunities that we, as a society, as human beings, decided we needed to ensure people had. Because we know that people's lives are wildly different and sometimes all someone needs to get out of a bad cycle is a good opportunity. They want slaves and peasants, they don't want strong citizens.

If ever proof that higher education was business and not education was needed... it's public now.

So glad now that I turned down Columbia’s offer all those years ago. Thanks, Dean Appell, for steering me in the right direction!

Cruelty and overt racism is the point. Deportation, incarceration, or slow death. Slow death via oppression, cutting healthcare, removing legal protections, no NOAA, no CFPB, local police deputized as ICE agents and illegal dumping in or near brown neighborhoods. They’re hoping we “self deport”.
