I wish enough of us had wanted a plain spoken decent human being as our VP
I wish enough of us had wanted a plain spoken decent human being as our VP
Me too
However in the nose he might be calling out the current fascism.
As a Minnesotan who remembers 2020, and who is paying attention to his current endorsements, no thank you.
A Samuel L. Jackson vice-presidency, with Quentin Tarantino as speechwriter….
They were my choice. Still pissed that PA went in the wrong direction. Again.
I want him as the Dem nom next time with AOC as vp.
Oh, what could've been.
I still can’t believe people watched and listened to this man and said no thanks. Genuinely seems like one of the nicest and most caring politicians to ever run and he also happens to have a spine which obviously most republicans lack. That election will haunt us all for years unfortunately smh.
At least we were able to keep our amazing Governor. It's the only bright side.
Maybe we did elect Kamala and didn’t know it? I’m far from being a conspiracy theorist but when adding Musk (data manipulation) and Putin (he’s got hackers too) into an already complicated mix, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that our democracy was stolen from us. Or voters are stupid.
Well apparently they wanted a 34x felon and a man with excessive guy liner
Why the Harris Campaign muzzled him is one of the more inexplicable bits of political malpractice of our time.
I don't think they did!!
Walz is too much like Mamdani, maybe.
how could he be too much like one of the most popular politicians in the entire party?
Mamdani is popular with actual people. Unfortunately, the Democratic party establishment appears to hate him.
That’s why primaries have to kick the fucking shit out of establishment Democrat candidates. Anyone in a closed-primary state that’s registered as independent: change your affiliation and vote for the most progressive option available in your primaries!
Progressivism is the only path out of fascism.
It's the same class of consultants that is advising (?) Jeffries and Schumer that Trump's literal acts of authoritarianism are a distraction. Things can be multiple things at once.
Jim Carvill has to go.
America without Jim Carvill is like a fish without a bicycle.
No one other than CNN has been listening to Carville since the 90's. There's a reason CNN can book him repeatedly during election years.
Carville is a doddering old man desperate to be relevant againt.
He’s as useless as breasts on a boat.
201, thanks to you.
202
What the fuck does followers have to do with anything?
Are you actually white knighting James Carville?
How else are baby boats going to feed??
🤣
He's not the way. I just ignore him.
I never thought he seemed muzzled. In fact, I thought he was quite outspoken. And I also thought that the media and social media— those now saying he should've spoken out more—blasted him for it when he did.
Agreed.
No, he was pretty well loved on social media for hammering "weird". It fucking worked. Brought leftists and liberals together, even. Then they were like, nah, better pivot to "deadliest millitary"
Let's pivot to get Liz Cheney (and her dad's!) vote.
He stated himself that the campaign told him to tone down his rhetoric
He didn't seem to take that advice then. This campaign was great from the beginning to the end.
It came out somewhere that the Harris campaign also tried to veto"We Won't Go Back" lol
They neutered him for the VP debate.
That was his choice. And he was certainly outspoken the rest of the time. The kind of people who would not have voted for Harris/Walz in the face of Trump/Vance are not the kind of people who make a decision on the basis of a single debate when they've seen all other speeches. Just my opinion.
Whoever made it, it was a bad choice. He should’ve went at Vance as hard as he had been at the rallies.
That was not his choice. He was told to stop pushing the weird narrative.
Agreed. What was the fear? Which Public Relations person told them that his outspokenness was a liability? Hopefully, not the same ones who are now telling Dems not to use certain words or phrases. Get rid of the hired PR people.
Get rid of the people hiring them.
In the end, the real political divide is between those who support neoliberal economic ideology and those who font. Walz was making the neolibs uncomfortable. The Dems are not fighting because their oligarchs don’t want them too
it's not inexplicable. They wanted to court conservatives and he wasn't nice to conservatives. It made the campaign make no sense. Having walz say "conservatives are weird(derogatory)" and then Kamala say "I'm going to have a conservative in my cabinet!" didn't make sense. so they muzzled him.
The explanation is actually quite easy: The corporate handlers of the party prefer fascism
Exactly!
I wish enough of us were decent human beings
🎯
Amen brother
Almost every time Tim speaks, I start crying. It just breaks my heart.
🥺
I suppose it was the 'Decent' part that tripped up too many voters.
Sadly, just enough people were more concerned about the price of eggs than they were about having a decent president (and vice president) in the White House.
I can be still remember that feeling of joy for the time they were campaigning. I miss that.
Preach!
