Trouser cuffs work best with a soft-handed fabric like gabardine. Tweed's thicker, flow-resistant quality, great for jackets, may not look as sharp once all of the cuff layers are together in the bottom 2" Smile real purdy like, and no one will even see them.

Since tweed is a traditional suit material not a modern material. That would push me to wear it with cuffs. I think cuffs look cool. If you add in a matching deerstalker cap and carry a calabash pipe you can go full Sherlock Holmes.

Former Costume Designers Guild local 982 here 😊. I’m assuming single breasted jacket? Are the pants pleated? It also depends on your overall physique. I think you are tallish? I’m inclined to say no pleats but taller, lankier fellas can cuff. Either way, all acceptable !

If it's a heavier/thicker tweed, go for the cuffs - when a cuff has some substance it seems intentional. You're tall. Pants with a cuff are a detail but not a distraction, which IMO is kinda the sweet spot.

I’ve only worn a tweed sports coat, and it’s been a while. I remember the patches on the elbows, but I don’t recall cuffs.
