I don't think imitating him as a mockery makes him a Trump. He does need to make sure he reflects the will of the people (more progressive), if he wants to be President, but if he makes the redistricting happen, he will be somewhat of a hero in the short term.

My definition of a Trump is a little more extreme than that - an evil sociopath with zero human empathy or decency who also has dementia and wants to purposely destroy literally everything good about our country. But I agree with all of your criticisms, we need an actual progressive, now!
