As someone who has both depression and executive dysfunction, sometimes just cleaning a spot helps. Not a full clean, as sometimes the overwhelm causes us to shut down. But sometimes just a spot. Or something easy like just tossing trash. Doing a small tasks gives the reward dopamine. 🫂

It REALLY does. Sometimes putting on high energy music helps the process as well. Tidying up the bathroom as well, because it's a smaller room.

my bathroom is very much a disaster area that we’re planning on remodelling at this point tbh. i’m gonna focus on those small things as you said and by the time i have work next, things will be in tip top shape

Good stuff! And sometimes redoing a space gives incentive as well. I did it when I redid my bathroom. Helps I also painted nice, vibrant colors too. A pop in color also does a world of good.

it does. something as simple as putting a trans flag above my bed really made the room shine in so many ways
