It's called 3I/ATLAS, named for (*sigh*) the "Asteroid Terrestrial-impact Last Alert System" which discovered it. It's an interstellar comet which is passing through the solar system. Like ʻOumuamua before it, it's prompted a bunch of fruitcakes to make claims about aliens and prophecies and shit.

The glow they're referring to may be a plume on the object's sun-facing side, where heating is causing outgassing. This has been picked up by conspiracists who claim it's an engine plume or, at least, that it's Mysterious™ because a comet tail should face away from the sun. (It's not a tail.)
