Can blue state governors deploy their own national guards to explicitly protect voters? No question Trump is going to surround polls with ICE goons.
That’s why he wants to end mail in voting. If people don’t go to the polls they can’t be intimidated. He’s probably thinking about how to end the mail delivery system altogether to suppress the vote.
It seemed apparent when he installed DeJoy as Postmaster during his first term that was part of the plan: slow mail, destroyed sorting machines, the works.
Trump's action in DC is a dress rehearsal for doing the same in other cities, which he is planning to do. This sets up the real motivation which is to interfere with the midterms.
That's become quite clear and I hope more & more understand the critical importance of not allowing him and this admin to corrupt the election process.

"Speaking out" seems to be the contemporary approach to resisting wrongs. Two hundred years ago tarring and feathering - or worse - might have been the way. Which is more effective?🤔 Every day of delay gets us deeper and deeper in trouble. Is something more drastic required?🤔
Lot of people wondering the same. I have faith in the power of #NonViolence, as shown throughout time and more importantly in the last 150yrs of fighting tyranny and authoritarianism. Some will turn to violence and escalation and too much death, like our Civil War, where 55,000 died in 1 weekend.

I had 2 military husbands and spent 25 years as a military wife. Troops don't scare me.
Coming from a military family, me neither. All the more reason to stand up, speak out, and resist, especially these non-military goons they're filling ICE ranks with.
I'm divorced from both husbands but I truly believe neither one would be ok with this. These are men and women with families. They took an oath to the Constitution not to DonOld Trump. I will always speak out and stand up to facists.
That they're sending Nat'l Guard from red states with cities having crime/homicide rates 3 & 4x worse than the blue cities they're sending them too should be broadcast from loudspeakers in those red states. Not much reporting on it in media.
The media is practically useless. Every one of them is afraid to speak the truth.
