Perhaps this is the spot. Where Snob's Stream (a branch of the Cam) goes under Fen Causeway. A corner of Sheep's Green. Looks as though there has been intense interest in whatever there was in the river. 🤔

Yes, I reckon that's the spot. Perhaps a cow fell in the stream and couldn't get out? That was my assumption but I couldn't reconcile that with the number of fire engines and police cars.
