They do count because they vote in the general election. And any smart candidate needs to be concerned where they vote then.

Well, gosh, then Cuomo is doing even worse. Of course, perhaps since Cuomo is soliciting help from Republicans, he doesn't care as much about Democrats voting for him.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to dislike Mamdani, but I cannot comprehend why any actual Democrat would think a Mayor Cuomo would be a good thing. It’s just not plausible.
