This now makes sense of a random line from Hot Shots: Charlie Sheen gives the widow (played by Susan from Seinfeld) of the perennially unlucky guy $1500 from a whip round, but she says “I just won the lotto so I can take this $1500 and blow it all on hats.”
Full disclosure, he said it was from Golden girls, I never heard it myself. It could have been from Hot Shots as it was released in 91. Either way, I still use it all the time.

Mine is also from The Stand but a different line. Early on when King lists all of the ways people died, not necessarily due to the virus, he responds by writing "And it was no great loss." Which I often say, usually when someone objectionable has been eliminated from a reality competition.
