LP cover - a photo of an older Black man (Ammons, who was only 36 at the time, but lived hard) in a very dark room, probably a nightclub stage, with just his face, neck and shoulders illuminated, as well as the mouthpiece of his sax. He's looking up and to his right. He has a mustache and a wispy beard. He looks tired and hot; his shirt is wrinkled in the heat. You can see the strap of his sax around his neck. It's a great portrait of a great artist at work.
