I don’t follow ROH that closely. I can’t imagine they have more than AEW. Also, who are we comparing them to to say they have “too many?” If you combine Raw, SD, and NXT, they have to dwarf AEW/ROH, no?

RoH doesn't have too many belts. Aside from maybe the six man belts. The problem with RoH is that the titles just end up feeling stagnant because they don't have regularly scheduled shows. You aren't going to defend titles on dark matches before Dynamite. And AEW definitely doesn't have too many.

Why not ? It doesn't make them feel less important than never defending them imo. But let's say you can't defend titles because ROH is just Dark matches with the occasional PPV... They don't need that many belts then. If it was its own thing with a large regular roster, why not.. but not as it is.

I don't really care about the other company.. I'm looking at how they're booked. They have now 3 men's singles who rarely have more than 1 feud going on combined. A tag belt rarely defended. Trios even less. And they have now 3 women's singles when they could barely manage 2..

Ah, yeah, I don’t keep up with ROH, but that sounds like a fair assessment. It’s not about quantity of belts, it’s lack of consistent attention on them and the division. Just for shit-giggles, I looked it up and ROH actually has only one more belt than AEW. The women have 3 instead of 2.

And AEW is gonna have a third women's belt soon to even all that.. 😅 But just saying that shows that ROH has too many.. How does a pseudo company with a very small "roster" (if we can call it that) have the same amount of titles as AEW ?? That's insane..

Specialty belts like the Men’s and Women’s Pure championships are the ones that seem to tip the scales towards too many. They’re popular, though. I think the most pointless belts they have are the 6 man. If they axe any belts, it should be those.

6-man definitely... But I would also get rid of the Men's TV title. Just keep World and Pure.. And I definitely wouldn't have done the Women's Pure one.
