We already have a 27% tariff on Chinese EVs which is so much those companies don't bother to try to sell their cars here. You don't really need Elon, just unions and tariffs. This tariff is acceptable to some people but Trump wants to put a tariff on all imported goods. Importers will go elsewhere.
