I don’t have the economics background to be able to say whether Powell is right but it is encouraging to see someone in power in the US stand up to Trump, something his appointed stooges to the SC refuse to do. Unfortunate, it is they who will exert the greatest, and most damaging influence.
Most economists agree what Powell pulled off - reducing out inflation from 11% to like 2-3% post Covid while avoiding a recession, is a miraculous feat. He absolutely stuck the landing. Powell = hero Trump = zero
