These tariffs are paid by American businesses which impacts their profits and business viability or will be passed on to American consumers which creates inflation. Either way it's taking money from Americans to give back to Americans - sounds like socialism to me.....

This would almost certainly work out like credit card "rewards" where, sure, you might be getting $5 cashback each month, but you're getting charged $50 in interest at the same time. It doesn't outweigh the damage that's being done, but people are swindled by it all the time.

Companies buying product now prior to tariffs increases inventory value or" inventory gain" goes to the bottom line of the financial statement. So, if today I buy at a lower cost and the value goes up the next day the selling price goes up. Companies will sell prior lower cost items at a higher $.
