People don’t understand what the Model T was: It was a platform. Two rails, two cross members, front and rear suspension, engine, front fenders, and cowl. Everything else was what anyone wanted: open coupe, open 4 door, closed of either. Two seater with trunk, or rumble seat. Pickup or delivery

A universal platform reduces costs both for build and repair, parts are interchangeable. Model T price in 1908 was $850. By 1925 had dropped to $260 because of economy of scale. Brilliant move by Ford

It is good that Ford is planning new investments but I would like to ask them as well as GM why they have given up so much market share to the imports ? If you want a regular sedan automobile you have to buy an Korean or Japanese car. Mr Ford there is more to life than just pickups and SUVs
