"Critics of Trump have likened the president's willingness to meet Putin one-on-one in Alaska – and his suggestion that Ukraine may have to accept the loss of territory – to British PM Neville Chamberlain's mistake of taking Hitler at his word," Nathan Hodge writes | Analysis https://cnn.it/4oPx25B

Ever since trump voted in favour of SUPPORTING putins invasion during a UN vote he's been stringing European leaders along, Trump is running interference for putin to ensure European leaders sit on their collective hands. Trump has gone out of his way to avoid applying any sort of pressure on putin!

cease fire from putin will only happen when America enforces strict sanctions NOW on russia! why is russia exempt from tariffs? trumps obvious lack of empathy for a war torn country-two weeks of more murders-OR if trump can't find the integrity to support ukraine then they should be accepted inNATO!

Neville Chamberlain has been reduced to a meme. I'd like to think he held Hitler to his word, rather than took Hitler at his word. When Hitler invaded Poland, Chamberlain lost no time in declaring war. This is my weekend reading: birlinn.co.uk/product/nevi...

Good analogy in that Hitler was allowed to occupy in order to avoid war and by that same measure of appeasement to prevent war it resulted in a European war known as world war 2

Putin is a scumbag, but in the case of this meeting, it's not him who's getting closer to Hitler, and it's not Russia that's getting closer to Nazi Germany. You really see yourselves as the good guys, don't you? Lol

Seems reasonable, except that in one case you have a gullible civilised man talking to a thug and on the other hand a gullible autocrat talking to a thug. Behind the civilised man there was a civilised government, and behind your autocrat there is a nest of rattlesnakes.

It's actually much worse than Chamberlain, who may have been naive, but still believed he was actually doing the right thing. Trump is a co-conspirator and admirer of Putin's butchery. He's an international disgrace. But I guess that makes me a "critic." 🙄
