Bats have a bad reputation. Myths, folk tales and negative media coverage mean people often link them to vampires or blame them for disease outbreaks. But bat populations around the world are in decline, and without them, ecosystems lose key benefits like pest control, pollination and seed dispersal
That’s cool and those are nice things, but unfortunately they don’t outweigh the vampirism.
One of my kids made 2 dioramas of bats ( old world & new world) when in 5 the grade. I read all the research material she brought home. It was so full of great info on the very important part bats play in the entire planets ecosystem. Amazing & worth reading about.
