Temu and Shein are garbage products that rely on slave wages, are made with toxic chemicals, and largely end up in landfills. Anything to lower their ability to get to the US is a positive thing.

“De minimis rule,” is just packages worth less than $800. And Temu and SHEIN used that as an unfortunate loophole to do bad business. But those things could just be banned instead of people losing their ability to buy overseas materials.

It’s not just TEMU and SHEIN. A LOT of small business owners rely on materials (like aluminum) from China. We don’t have manufacturing here. Since they’re small business, they don’t have the money to buy en mass. A lot of people are going to go under from this.

trump doesn’t care about toxic chemicals and American economiy. A $1 sweater will cost 1.50, which is still MUCH cheaper than what US companies can do. Temu won’t die, no US company will take its place on US market, poor Americans will pay more, that’s all.

I work for Canada Post and starting today customers need to use a third party app to handle US Customs. The US is the only country to require this. I can see older people that don’t even own a smart phone having a meltdown trying to send their grandkids in the States a gift.

Stop paying taxes that go to people on disability and retirement. Because who cares about the elderly and disabled right? If social security goes broke I lose my income. Being disabled and chronically ill I can't just go out and get a job.
