US Steel is shuttering production at a mill in November, but its hundreds of workers will keep their jobs – for now – thanks to an agreement the company reached with the Trump administration. https://cnn.it/4njILrt

Once again Republicans refuse to support the free market. Trump is running American businesses. And Trump sucks at business. So any company he is involved in will fail. But why do Republicans not even discuss this. For decades Republicans told us they wanted small government.

Now Republicans want the federal govt so big it runs all the businesses, polices all the streets, monitors all the drs offices, surveils all public bathrooms, etc. Trump is making the USA less free.

How is that not a government handout by proxy? And how is that making America Great? And really, how long can private enterprise underwrite an idle workforce and still be profitable? SMH

Nothing against the steel workers, who are skilled & hard working, but they will be paid to keep busy (just like marines picking litter) while government workers, who are also skilled & hard working and were doing actual work, were all dumped. This makes sense to who?

Yes, Nippon is a Japanese company that owns US Steel. However, the U.S. President holds veto authority over critical decisions, including: Closing U.S. plants or cutting steel production capacity or Moving U.S. jobs overseas.

Whose decision was it to quit production in Illinois? Nippon can’t be too happy about having to pay out.

Even if you pay workers, imagine the surrounding areas that supplied the plant, from food, to electricity, to everything else. They will shatter.

The Trump Scam: Invite, Arrest, Humiliate America loves to lecture the world about “rule of law” and “alliance.” But look closer: they invite foreign investors, demand they create jobs, then turn around and chain their workers like criminals.
