People don’t realize in all their fandom fantasies that Marvel characters are just alcoholic versions of DC characters. Which is oddly why they have been successful. DC made archetypes and Marvel made characters. Non Tony Stark iron men have been so boring.

They really did. And it really puts them into a corner. That’s why the new Superman was so good. It embraced the silver age goofiness that was created as opposed to marvels more grounded approach. But once you see the Reeves Superman with the Williams score, that’s the archetype. That’s the demigod.
