Boomers won't have a future either bc Trump and Heritage are destroying it for middle class and poor.
And?
The Boomers sheer numbers mean they always get what they want. The have the numbers, the buying power. So the rest of us can’t compete. Now we “suffer” as they blast through each stage of life.
You’re the Bernie Sanders of these issues! Keep hammering away!!!
💩
I don’t agree with 100% of Galloway’s diagnoses and solutions, but he’s mostly on-target. To a large extent the data speak for themselves, and tell a clear story, if we pay attention.
The parents that assumed their kids would be better off then them don’t see themselves as part of the problem. Some parents do reach back and help get their children a start,be it with education or helping purchase a first home, but not many do.
Radical. Insightful as always.
Not all of us. Some of us are still working and trying to make enough to retire.
Give me a break. Enough with the generation blaming. You want change? VOTE.
Casting a vote once every two years is simply not enough. Where we choose to spend and invest our money, and which laws & institutions & nonprofits we choose to support and fight for, are daily responsibilities.
Not mutually exclusive, for sure.
We need about 1000 more of you!
They did this to Millennials and Gen X too. The abandonment, apathy, and greed of the Boomers has been felt by older generations for a while
Yes, and the stubborn old fools refuse to relinquish power so we can DO SOMETHING about it!
No one relinquishes power. You apply power and force them out. Otherwise you don’t get power. See how it works?
It's not just politics. It's in the workplace as well. MF's need to retire, not die in place.
Again. Leverage. It is the only way.
I like a lot of Scott Galloway’s ideas but I don’t think he understands boomers totally or what it means to live on a fixed income. There is more to the lack of opportunity for young people than boomers.
Economic Policies work to enrich boomers and steal from younger generations. Bullshit! The same fricking Policies steal from boomers as well!!
That story doesn’t really appear in the data. Even if it did and x was stolen from the boomers by Big Capital™, then it’s still true that 10x is being stolen from the young.
Prof G's 'classification' should be like his views on college scholarships - by economic status and let's face it - the ultra wealthy are sucking our nation dry how much money is enough?
