Good idea. All the burdens that have gone back to the states could be consolidated by the blue states. Like FEMA.

No because too many people in those states would suffer even though they voted blue. Gerrymandering is not the fault of the voters and there is little that can be done if no legit "blue" candidates.

Especially since all our federal safety nets have been pushed back to each State to provide for themselves. All the fed government now just pockets our taxes - so, why pay them?
