Those entities that have controlled direction of profits (governments, big business and corporations-after all, governments and big businesses are in bed together) could care less about the fragility of our planet’s climate. Gore fought a losing battle, and the losses from that battle, catastrophic.

he tried hard for a long time. i don't blame him for having a rest. i didn't even think back then he had a chance...anything that requires the tiniest effort or money, let alone a lot of both will absolutely not fly in our democracy unless the rewards *personal* and *tangible* and *immediate*

oh gosh i had to double check he was still alive... i remember he pushed for interconnecting super computer centers with data lines and supported money for developing the internet generally. he was cool to me before he was known for climate change efforts
