If your argument comes down to racist idPol voters in Podunk, Iowa not voting for a dem-soc unless they look like them, then the 'Podunk,IA DSA' chapter would still be able to work with that while yanking it's constituency out of their jim crow mindset.

They wouldn't be a DSA chapter for long, as DSA does de-register & disband chapters misaligned / opposed to its mission statement. But broadly americas political bodies are & have been too white since inception; DSA also being a victim of that - & also why they instated a white-guy % cap 4 leadrship
