Downtown Baltimore real feel is 108°. This is becoming the norm. I can't remember a stretch like this with the heat index 100+ so many days. Can't rely on the actual temp. Have to look at the humidity.

Dew point & humidity are the killers. Here in New England dew points are in the mid 70's & humidity @ 80%. Unheard of. Should be raining but it's not. Welcome to "the coolest summer for the rest of our lives".
Having 5 or more days where the heat index is above 100 is crazy. Its happening more and more in my lifetime. Climate change is real.
Thats why we dont need a weather service and billions can have that money back! Future forcase: fucked Amd they caused this. With their big oil, lobbying for less regulation and lying to people with 2nd grade science levels "flat eatth, no climate change, trickle down economics, space lasers"
Here in the Philadelphia area i have been getting up early to walk the dog. Yesterday was 75 degrees and very humid at 530 in the morning. The night doesn't bring much relief. I have a heart condition and I just can't take the heat anymore. Can't wait to shut this air-conditioning off
Still some assert there is no climate change. There are things a regular person can do like plant trees, reduce carbon footprint,...
Same in Detroit - this is the hottest summer I can remember and it’s not the occasional “one day high,” it’s a whole week or more of “highs.”
Correct This is the new norm. Every summer is going to be hotter than the one before . I don't know what the top number will be but forget high of 78 and low of 63 with humidity in a comfortable range. David Suzuki recently talked about it www.cbc.ca/news/science...
It is too late. Best we can do is try to mitigate damage but that’s almost impossible now. It’s not just summer, even winter & spring are different. Don’t know if fall is at risk.
Any place a tree can be planted it should be. Crazy this hasn't been a world strategy.
I’ve travelled to China yearly since 1985. They’ve planted literally millions of trees along every highway, in every median. Som much greener than 40 yrs ago. In my town in the southern US we can hardly save the old oak trees from developers who prefer to clear cut rather than work around them.
The Gulf and the Atlantic keep warming. Trump and his MAGA mob intend to make Global Warming worse, much, much worse. Kill the poor is Trump’s mantra.
Oh, yuck.
Sounds like a South Carolina steamy summer.
My heart breaks for the animals. It's not their fault, but they're going to suffer & die slowly & painfully.😪😪😪
Just ask any republican. If global warming is real and you, know, what they will say.
Perhaps if Baltimore and other cities like it tried to plant more greenery, it wouldnt be such a concrete oven.
I’m in the suburbs and it’s still a swamp. 🥵 it’s the dewpoint and humidity.
Every bit helps! I'm not far from there myself... its swampy af.
Look at the dew point, too.
The dew point is more important than the temperature.
🥵
The high humidity is wiping me out.
I can relate. I live in central Illinois and when I was walked home from the grocery store at 9am the actual temperature was mid-70s. But I needed a shower when I got home because my hair and clothes were wet with sweat. It was that humid.
You may not believe in climate change but your insurance company sure does 🌕
Eight years ago we moved from Baltimore to the heart of New Mexico. It's hotter in Baltimore now than it is here, and we don't have that humidity.
And it hasn't broke 100* here in north central Texas. July 1st is the average first hundred degree day.
This summer is definitely one of the worst I remember since the 80s. It is wild how oppressive it has been.
