The core blocks of the Dem party are: Black people, women, and LGBTQ. (Not mutually exclusive) A candidate will not make it through the primary denigrating or breaking from those blocks. A "Sister Souljah" will backfire. Only a pre-social media consultant would suggest it.

There are a number of "normie" potential candidates that reject the centrists, support the core Dems, and look to progressives for ideas. The right and left edges are trying to pick them apart now. (The way they did to Harris in 2020 and 2024.) Those edges need to be countered now.

Right now, 3 years ahead, Centrists blaming core Dems for being too woke and trying to push these sure losers. The leftists keep insisting the core Dems will fall for it. A candidate that supports and respects the core Dems' issues and interests will make it through the primary.

Some white male centrists and leftists may try a Sister Souljah. Newsom, Buttegeig, and Sanders agree: trans people, abortion, and DEI are distractions. When reminded who votes for Dems, they give perfunctory apologies. Then slip again.
