Love it. I give lectures and attend faculty meetings in shorts and t-shirt. There's too much irrelevant "seriousness" in academia. I also never heard the word dungarees before, so thanks for educating me😉

My only nod to seriousness is ironing them before class 😂
And in all seriousness, I think the term “dungarees” is mostly used for kids. Adult women would probably call it an “overall”. But…
I think we should promote the worldwide use of "Latzhose" ... although "Dungarees" has a kind of Australian ring to it, which is also nice😊
Haha, sounds like we make the perfect "not serious dressing"-club. A couple of weeks ago I went to an internal sustainability conference and I was asking myself what to wear. Well I was the one with the hoodie. My reasoning was "I am a prof, I can do this" 😂
Exactly my thinking! I told myself that being a prof has to have some perks😉 And since I don't own non-hoodie clothes with long sleeves, so in colder seasons, that's what I wear😁
I feel my lectures are much better if I don't wear a suit.
Try dungarees ☺️
Just wore a jumpsuit with a cat pattern to a lecture, pretty sure some of the students were jealous 🐱
I as well!
Heck yeah!
As an avid dungaree wearer at meetings, I cannot help but admire this pair!

You would totally fit in Denmark. Especially combined with a pair of sneakers. 😉
Maybe, but I try to avoid white sneakers, since JU in Germany wears them
Junge Union?
www.faz.net/aktuell/poli... Yes There’s no proper German word for this: when you start wearing sneakers to seem less conservative, but you don’t actually become any less conservative – instead, wearing sneakers itself turns into a conservative move.
The action by the leadership to give white sneakers as presents is... quite cringe.
The footwear of men > 40years old trying to be cool. Some are 40 years old long before their passport would agree.
It's the age-old fashion marry-go-round. Soon, Italian leather shoes and ties will again be hip and unorthodox.
Looking forward to this ☺️
The tie is ugly 🙄
The tie is alright (could be my color blindness), but I'm not a fan of the pointed shirt collar.
Agree, that is ugly as well. The color of the tie is to light for the suit
Nice Dungarees, i Need The Osh Kosh Hickory Striped Dungarees
I teach micro ☺️
