All sorts of politicians and others have to learn this! And many do! You can learn it. But you have to want it

I agree you can learn to pretend to be authentic. But that isn't being authentic. And Mamdani shows that many people can tell the difference.

There's no difference. "Authenticity" isn't really a thing, it's just an impression. It's anticipating what people expect from you, it has nothing to do with the self.
