There is no way. If they already cancelled elections by then, maybe, for a while. But JD will never be accepted as a leader, and Thiel is just weird. These guys are luckers, in reality they are not particularly capable.

I agree that they will try. I just see mismatched goals for all of the factions in there. Hence my original comment. All of this is also not compatible with the way the US does (did?) business.
Forget all what the US were. The US live now in a new paradigm. Technics to reach to the power and to implement dictatorship may have been more or less copied until now on the 20th century European dictatorships. All what may happen from now on will be brand new.
…and Stephen Miller etc. are also still in the mix. But you are spot on in terms of timing. If they get rid of/suppress elections, it'll get quite dangerous.
