Araki has stated that Fugos betrayal was one of the hardest things he had to do up until that point. And he was in a dark place mentally at the time. So this Semi canon redemption story for Fugo is very nice

It is yeah! It really gets to stew in the more melancholy parts of P5 and I think Fugos decision/indecision mirrors Arakis a bit too with how he handled him. It's nice to get a bookend on all of that
