I agree. All I can to is whatever I can to pressure my own country of Canada to do the right thing and end shipping of weapons, impose sanctions on Israel and get aid to Palestinians. On the 50s, Canada played a role in the UN forming peacekeeping forces over the suez crisis. We can do that here.

And what then? We accept the block? Canadian troops imprisoned? I mean the world IS already watching all the ways Israel is blocking food.
Going there brings more attention. More pressure. We make noise. The more we stand up to this the more others will join. We might be the first western nation to stand but we wouldn’t stand alone. This is a genocide. We can stop it and the starvation. We have to effing try. No more excuses.
I feel you are being more performative than serious. The UN recognition & 2 state summit puts more pressure than another intl ship blocked by Israel that gets about 5 minutes of headlines before it drops off the radar.
I don’t have the power to do this but I absolutely would. I am absolutely serious. We need to act now. Canada recognizing a Palestinian state *with conditions* in September isn’t enough and isn’t fast enough. I do not think Israel will board a military ship from a G7 nation being aid.
