that is a scary looking spider - how big is it? The cat cornered another Giant House Spider the other night in the kitchen but I was able to rescue it. Those things are pretty big and scary looking too, but harmless..

I dunno, her abdomen was maybe the size of my fingernail? (I always overestimate so take it with a grain of salt.) She was a very healthy looking spider.
