For the “Harry Potter” television series, HBO said on Monday that it had cast a few major roles, including John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape and Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid.

There are hundred of YA books that would make a good series. Why keep redoing the same narrow list. Loyd Alexander could use a series. Or based on stories Ellen Datlow has edited. A new writer perhaps? I’m a Shakespeare fan so I’ll watch every version of the plays but Harry Potter isn’t that.
