How's that compare to the AH's first term in office? And if they're all so worried about the govt crashing, why not first stop golfing at $1 million a pop?

I call Promise TACO! Said he wouldn't, chickened out. In in 2015, Trump said he would "Save Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security without cuts," then tried to dismantle it once in office. We need an accounting of all the times he said he wouldn't cut Medicaid/Medicaid. 🙏

That would be LOW, due to Trump's chaotic tariff's, slower growth, less spending due to Trump's ever changing policies. Also the lowest Tax payers will pay more in Taxes, than before. Let's face facts that Trump's main purpose, is always to give more money to the Rich, and Corporations, ALWAYS!

I’m seriously less concerned about the deficit (which is important) than I am about the changes to judicial Authority in this bill.

Interesting data shows a significant amount over $240 billion about 20% of SNAP money is spent on junk food that's unhealthy and causes chronic illnesses which increases U.S. Healthcare costs. #food #SNAP #budget #health #nutrition

But in reality, this number is much higher. It ignores the destruction of the IRS ability to collect revenue By firing thousands of investigative IRS agents, especially the rich will be embolden to cheat on their taxes or use improper deductions to save massive amounts of money.

The Big Beautiful Bill, surely not. Also won't be offset by the Trillions saved by DOGE in the first three months.

DOGE didn't save trillions. It was a confidence game used as a cover so Elmo could get lawsuits against his companies dismissed and so he could secure government contracts. 🤔

There's some shaky math going on here. After shutting down hundreds of programs and firing thousands of government workers (where did those savings go) it still raises the debt by 3 trillion. Help is make sense.

Can be easily fixed by NOT extending the 2017 tax cuts for those making say, over $200k a year. There was never any need to cut taxes in 2017. Economy was doing very well under Obama.

Trump tells people the reason for tariffs is so that he can bring down the national debt. Instead, he is adding to it so why does he still need tariffs?

highdesertrat.bsky.social @highdesertrat.bsky.social

He needs the tariffs to pay for the tax cuts, since the tariffs are paid to US Customs. Still won’t reduce the debt but that is his plan.

The US customs collects tariffs on behalf of the federal government who will waste in on projects such as the golden dome. Basically it's one billionaire taking from the poor and giving to his billionaire friends.
