Just noting for whoever and whatever parses the feedback that comes from comments: people don’t trust this newspaper anymore. We won’t pay for news we don’t trust. And that’s bad for you.

Hands down the easiest jobs at any company to replace with AI are CEO and board of directors. Funny how greed, in the form of short-term gains, is easy to code.

But I also found their pitch strangely devoid of empathy for the people whose jobs they’re trying to replace, and unconcerned with whether society is ready for such profound change. THEY DON’T KNOW AND THEY DON’T CARE.

The industrial revolution eliminated most (but not all) physical jobs. Computerization eliminated many (but not all) clerical jobs. AI will make much deeper inroads into clerical jobs, and start on those analyst / middle manager positions that were thought to require human judgement.

The article mentions this is what the founders think should/must happen. But if we consider AI automation the "problem" and UBI the "solution", it seems purely evil to hope someone else implements a solution to a problem you intend on creating.
