I remember Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous having some pretty good male options with Lann (M/F) Daren (Pan) and Sosiel (M/M), in fact I would argue it's one of the few games where the male options are more interesting then the female options (no shade on Aruleshae and Camellia).
Lann and Sosiel are famously two of the worst written romances in CRPG history and Daeren is a well-written character but he's a gay-coded twinky bisexual and I already covered how the overrepresentation of that archetype is a sticky issue.
Wenduag is one of the most wonderfully written characters I've seen in a CRPG and Camellia is a lot of fun despite being Camellia. Aru is fine but sort of boring, but we're talking about storylines where you play as a woman and date a man.

That's a shame I hadn't had the chance to pursue their actual romances, but their general writing was fairly interesting, so I had assumed it would have reasonably carried over to the romance as well.
I am at a loss for words.
