I disagree. He's the most middle of the road candidate. The only one with university degrees, global experience, has the diplomacy skills and international rapport required. Ffs its only been 5 months, hes had to deal with the mango mooseknuckle, renegotiation if all trade deals.

Oh god, he's been a fucking embarrassment the whole time Almost like the reports of him telling Trump that his "tough rhetoric" was just for the election were entirely accurate

I’m not saying he’s worse than Pierre Whatshisname, and agree he’s highly credentialed. It’s just that he rode in on a wave of progressiveness but from my distant location seems to be maintaining the status quo

I think it was just a scramble. Justin resigned, there was really no one to step up, no one able to stand up to the mooseknuckle. He was the best for the job. If given resumes for the 5 others, then Carney's hits the desk, its Carney. Its all we have. None of the others are qualified.

I hope he stays for a decade and aligns Canada with Europe and other Commonwealth countries. I think we Australians share values more with Canada and NZ than any other countries. I’d love to see us here say goodbye America and g’day Canada
